Ballarat Mayor Launches BSCC's Race Season

Today was a significant day for BSCC with the reopening of the Vic Park crit circuit following the excellent upgrade of it's surface. It was also the first race of the SJ Butler Spring Road Series and the mayor of Ballarat Samantha McIntosh, was there to officially launch it.
​Exactly 40 competitors took their place on the start line in warm but slightly windy conditions. Many riders mentioned that they'll be a bit rusty after some time off the bike through winter however, everyone seemed to enjoy the challenge and the opportunity to experience the new surface.
