Past Major EventsMTB InterWinter Series 2010Imagine travelling to some of the most exotic trail centres in Victoria, to compete in the coolest MTB race series around! The infinitely insane Ballarat, the exhilaration of the Castlemaine Pinies, the ‘wow factor' of Woodend, and the super-groomed MTB masterpiece of the You Yangs. Tyre-scraping, brake-shuddering, fear-inducing, white-knuckle racing (roadies, this is what MTB racers call fun - ed.) doesn't come in any purer form than the InterWinter Series, by four premier clubs in Victoria. The theory behind it all is to ride different trails, different formats, with different clubs, all with a fun, laid-back approach, just enjoying the singletrack. Come out, show your club colours, and watch as the Presidents do battle for the President's Cup. There will be A,B, & C-grade categories, on-line entry, series points, and a series champion in each category. A true sign that MTB clubs in Victoria rock and know how to deliver an awesome product: the smile on your face. Enter just one race or enter all four - everyone is welcome. The tracks are suitable for all standard of mountain bike riders. It will be a fun and inclusive mountain bike series. The events:

The Bakers Bash - Round 1 of Victorian State XC Series (VSS)
The 2012 Victorian State XC Series has the following events planned. The events: Round 1: Sunday 4th Dec - Wimmera hill Winery, Elmhurst for more information see VSS website
Details for Round 1It might surprise some that this race is not going to conducting in Ballarat, but instead Glenpatrick. Glenpatrick is approximately 75km Northwest of Ballarat (or 175km from Melbourne) and the reason we are holding a race there is that the Baker family (BSCC members) who are keen MTBers have over 600 acres of land where they are in the process of building a network of very technical trails. We have selected a 6km trail that has a mix of technical and open sections and while it is not the most difficult on offer, there are some sections where even the most skilled rider will need to keep their mind on the job.
Location: 606 Glenpatrick Road, Elmhurst, Victoria Date: Sunday 4th December Time: Registrations from 8:30am until 9:45am, event briefing 10:15am Track: 6km approx. Type of Trail: Narrow and rocky in parts Video: See some highlights of the course on YouTube Race Pack: See PDF Images: See the album on our Facebook Page Entries: Will be available on-the-day and cost $40. General Information about BSCC MTB races. Non BSCC club members (ie MTBA members of other clubs) and/or riders who just starting out and are not members of any club are all welcome at our club races. However because BSCC event are run to MTBA standards, each rider needs to be insured, so this means non-MTBA members will need to purchase a 'Day Permit', which is $20.
Victorian Enduro Series 2012 Ballarat-Sebastopol MTB Club is proud to host the Round 1 of the Victorian Endurance Series. Being part of the Spokes Festival our race will be assisted by the Ballarat community groups and all profits from this event will be donated to the Ballarat Cancer Research Centre. We have received generous donations from major Ballarat organisations for a big prize money pool. Enduro racing is a great opportunity to grab your friends and race together in either 2 or 3 person teams challenging each other’s lap times while enjoying the social side to Enduro racing. If it’s a hard physical and personal challenge you desire then solo riding is the category for you. Bring along your friends and family for support as you challenge yourself lap after lap to complete 6 hours of what is sure to be sensational mounting bike riding.
Now don’t forget this is a series and there are series prizes awarded for all categories down to 3rd place. See the Enduro series rules section for how prizes work but an important thing to know is that you have to complete 4 races in the series to be eligible for prizes. You are permitted to change riders in your team from race to race, however the team name must not change throughout the series. So get yourself organised and get yourself entered into one or more of these great events.
