Victorian Enduro Series 2012

 

Ballarat-Sebastopol MTB Club is proud to host the Round 1 of the Victorian Endurance Series. Being part of the Spokes Festival our race will be assisted by the Ballarat community groups and all profits from this event will be donated to the Ballarat Cancer Research Centre. We have received generous donations from major Ballarat organisations for a big prize money pool.
 

Enduro racing is a great opportunity to grab your friends and race together in either 2 or 3 person teams challenging each other’s lap times while enjoying the social side to Enduro racing. If it’s a hard physical and personal challenge you desire then solo riding is the category for you. Bring along your friends and family for support as you challenge yourself lap after lap to complete 6 hours of what is sure to be sensational mounting bike riding.

 

Now don’t forget this is a series and there are series prizes awarded for all categories down to 3rd place. See the Enduro series rules section for how prizes work but an important thing to know is that you have to complete 4 races in the series to be eligible for prizes. You are permitted to change riders in your team from race to race, however the team name must not change throughout the series.

So get yourself organised and get yourself entered into one or more of these great events.

Event 3: Sunday 29th April - Mount Beauty, Mt Beauty 6hr
Event 4: Sunday 27th May - Beaconsfield, Rock Hop 6hr

Event 6: Sunday 29th July - TBA
Event 7: Sunday 19th August - Castlemaine, 6hr Enduro
Event 8: Sunday 23th September - TBA
Event 9: Sunday 11th November - Buxton MTB Park, Buxton Bash

 

Details for Round 1

Location: Canadian, start/finish at Pax Hill (450 Spencer St, Ballarat. see website)

Date: Saturday 11th February

Track: 10km  approx (anti-clockwise direction)

 

6 Hour Event

Times for 6hr: Registrations from 8:30am to 9:30am, event start 10:00am

Format: 6hr Enduro (solo, pairs, triples in males, females, mixed and U19s)

3 Hour Event

Times for 3hr: Registrations from 8:30am to 12:30am, event start 1:00pm

Format: 3hr Enduro (solo only)

Cheap Accommodation: BSCC MTB have hired out the 'Pack Holiday Centre' in Pax Hill, which is a 44 bed (dorm style) accommodation unit, for the nights of the 10th & 11th of February, beds are $15 per person per night.  The race village will be a few meters away from the accommodation, so it is a good option if you don't like travelling the morning of a big race.  Contact  109,116,98,64,99,121,99,108,105,110,103,98,97,108,108,97,114,97,116,46,99,111,109,46,97,117  for more details or to reserve your bed.

Entries:  Online entries ONLY, are available at Entry Zone.

*****Regular Entries are now CLOSED.**** It's $50 per person for 6 hours, or $35 for 3 hours. Online entries will close at Midnight on 5pm Wednesday February 8th to allow time for Race plates to be printed.

*****Late Entries are OPEN from Thursday 8am to Friday 3pm.**** It's $60 per person for 6 hours, or $45 for 3 hours. Late Entries will still receive a race plate that they can keep but it won't have their name printed on it.
