CYCLO: Ballarat's First Ever Cyclo-Cross Event

BSCC is proud to support Ballarat’s first ever Cyclo-Cross event. It’s on this Sunday, the 26th of May at Chisolm St Reserve. Racing starts at 12:30 for both adults and kids. There will be Podium and Novelty Prizes, and more fun and frivolity than you can poke a crank at!

Come on down and check it out. Don’t have a cx bike? No worries, as well as A and B grades there’s a "run what you brung" open category meaning you can ride whichever bike you like. Spectators are both welcome and encouraged.

Race entry is only $15. CA,MTBA, or BMXA Licences can be used. Day licences available, for those who don't have any of these

Road: Aggregate series to kick of in February

2013 Road Aggregate Series

The BSCC road committee is pleased to announce that a draft schedule for the 2013 club aggregate series is now available.

The first round will kick off on February 16 at Dunnstown on the Corkscrew course. We know you've all been training hard during these long summer days and will be itching to get out there to show off your finely tuned engines and chised calves that you have produced from months of self-discipline and abstinence over the festive season.

The draft schedule can be downloaded here. Closer to the start of the season more details will be added to our online calendar so stay tuned.

In the meantime, as usual, we need to call for our club road members who wish to participate in the series to nominate themselves for marshaling duties. Road: Criterium racing

Criteium racing is back for 2012/ 2013!

Due to council drainage works that will be ongoing for some time, our previous course in Victoria Park is not available. However we have a new course for you to add some excitement to your lives, its still in Victoria Park and will be a bit of a longer course. Starting place will be at the western end of Military Drive past the dog obedience school.

We will run a similar format to last year throwing in a few variations with sprint points, eiminations, reverse direction etc.

We are also requesting that members please nominate themselves for marshaling duties in an effort to keep running costs to a minimum. Please respond to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your preferred date(s) to marshal.

When: Commencing Wednesday October 10th and weekly until Christmas. Junior racing from 5.15, seniors from 6.00.
Where: West end of Military Drive, Victoria Park.
Cost: Seniors $5, Juniors $3
